Canada Maple Leafs

Canadian Maple Leafs are the most recognizable, sought after, and pure-gold precious metals in the world. The official Canadian gold coins make the right asset for your investment portfolio. The government of Canada guarantees the quality of these beautiful gold coins.

Initially launched in 1979, Canadian Maple Leafs is the second oldest gold series in Canada. Earlier, only South African Krugerrands were available for investment. Canadian Maple Leafs became popular when there was a shortage of gold bullion coins due to the South African conflict. Minted in Royal Canadian Mint, all Maple leaf coins have a face value legal for transactional use.

The Canadian government in 2007 announced the release of approximately 1 million gold coins. It made waves among private investors and traders as the value of gold content doubled.

Design and Denomination of Canada Maple Leaf
The famous designer Walter Ott created the design of these beautiful coins. The front or obverse side of the Canadian Maple Leafs coin presents the figure of Queen Elizabeth II. The image demonstrates the profile of the famous British monarch with pearl earrings and necklace. The issuing year and face value of the coin is underneath the Queen’s profile, while the top boundary has a name stretched ELIZABETH II.

The reverse side of the coin contains the recognizable images and the Canadian national symbol. The number .9999 and the name “CANADA” are written on the top. The bottom side has the words “FINE GOLD” and denomination. Canadian Maple Leafs coins come with seven weight denominations, including a $1 million issue. The Canadian government trade the coins in 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/10, 1/20 oz denominations.

The .9999 fineness of these precious metal and unique design increase its value. The coins qualify for 24 karat designation and contain no base metal. It makes them pure gold and adds to their value.
